Ahwatukee Foothills News – “ACT gives Valley girls chance to feel like a princess”

Every little girl deserves to feel like a princess, and with the help of Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre (ACT) they can through three workshops coming up in April.

The workshops are designed to give little princesses a memorable experience, allow current princesses (teenage actors from ACT) a chance to interact with the community and get the community excited about ACT’s big main stage production of “Cinderella” at Chandler Center for the Arts this summer.

The three workshops, held over three weeks, each have a different theme. The first is “How to Look Like a Princess.” Young girls ages 3 to 12 will have a chance to dress up like a princess on April 7 and have hair, makeup and nails done to match. Once their

makeover is complete with a crown and some play jewelry, the girls will have a chance to walk down the runway and have their pictures taken by paparazzi.

Also making an appearance at the events is a new local company called Girls Looking Cute. GLC is a personal outfit assistant made to make getting dressed in the morning easier. It allows girls to lay out an outfit the night before on their own model to figure out what looks good and what doesn’t. The personal outfit assistant will be available for purchase at the event.

Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre is hosting three princess themed workshops presented by Girls Looking Cute.

The workshops are designed to give little princesses a memorable experience, allow current princesses a chance to interact with the community and get the community excited about ACT’s big main stage production of “Cinderella” at Chandler Center for the Arts this summer which is also presented by Girls Looking Cute.

“Enchanted in April” is three princess-themed workshops including “How to look like a Princess”, “How to ACT like a Princess”, and the “Daddy/daughter, Mommy/Son Royal Ball.” The three separate workshops will be held on April 7, April 14, April 28, 2012 at the Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre on the corner of Elliot/51st Street 5051 E. Elliot Road, Phoenix, AZ 85044.

Tickets for the event are $35.00 per workshop or $90.00 for all three. Tickets are limited and going fast! One ticket for Enchanted is good for one child and one adult.

Girls Looking Cute Gifted Two Personal Outfit Assistants to Jennifer Garner’s daughters Seraphina and Violet

This month, Girls Looking Cute had the amazing opportunity to take part in a celebrity gifting for Jennifer Garner. Awesome timing since the star JUST had her baby boy!

We really love the fun-loving, and hands-on Affleck family who always seems to take in the sweet moments, and be out and about as they visit their local farmers market, shop around LA, or hang out at the park, and thought it would be very cool to take part in this gifting and send a special gift to Violet and Seraphina to congratulate them on being new, big sisters.We are so excited for Ben, Jen, Violet, and Seraphina and the new baby boy (name not known…YET!)

Both Seraphina and Violet seem to be such little fashionista’s, which is why we thought they might enjoy their own personal fashion outfit assistant, so they can continue to always look stylish like their mommy, and it hopefully Girls Looking Cute will give mommy the perfect fashion outlet for the girls as they have the ability to organize, mix and match and coordinate their outfit right on the mannequin. As you can imagine, it is a great tool for parents too for routine and organization, and maybe Jen can even sneak in some QT time in with baby #3!

Girls Looking Cute is VERY excited to announce an event we are part of here in Arizona this April!! Enchanted in April!

We are partnering with Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre for a month of Enchantment for the month of April which will be presented by Girls Looking Cute for all the little princesses in the Valley!

“Enchanted in April” will be princess-themed workshops including “How to look like a Princess”, “How to ACT like a Princess”, and the “Daddy/daughter, Mommy/Son Royal Ball” The three separate workshops will be held on Saturday’s in April on April 7, April 14, April 28, 2012 at the Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre on the corner of Elliot/51st Street at 5051 E. Elliot Road, Phoenix, AZ 85044.

Tickets for the event are $35.00 per workshop or $90.00 for all three. Tickets for Enchanted are good for one child and one adult and the event is limited to 75 children per workshop. Below you will find more information regarding each workshop:

April 7 - 1:00 to 4:00pm – “How To Look Like A Princess Workshop”
This workshop is designed for all the little princesses ages 3 to 12 that just love to dress up! Dressed in their favorite sparkly outfit or dressed as their favorite princess, they will be magically transformed as they walk into their world of enchantment. The princesses will receive a complete makeover including painting their nails, styling their hair and adding a puff of shimmer make-up to their cheeks. Their new look will be topped off with stylish accessories including tiaras and play jewelry. The girls will then attend “Runway 101“, a runway class taught by their favorite Disney princesses and they will end the day with a glamorous photo session and fashion show; complete with paparazzi.

April 14 – 1:00 to 4:00pm – “How To ACT Like A Princess Workshop” All princesses’ ages 2 to 12 can register to attend this fun tea-party event! The little ladies will join their favorite princesses for their day to learn how to curtsy, learn special songs about being a princess, be taught proper etiquette, manners, style and grace. Any child would love this magical and memorable event, as they will pose for many pictures with all the beautiful princesses as they enjoy their afternoon tea.

April 28 – 6:00 to 8:00pm – Daddy/Daughter & Mother/Son Ball
Come one, come all to the Royal Ball! All little princesses and princes in the village are invited to come dressed in their finest and attend this royal event alongside their parents. Guests will enjoy light refreshments, enjoy fancy photos in front of royal backgrounds, and learn a professional ballroom dance lesson. The royal court will crown all princes and princesses in attendance with a crown. Enjoy royalty with your children, and make some amazing memories!
